According to Crain's Business in New York, The Coca-Cola Company may be moving back into the retail spaces at 711 Fifth Avenue, the location of its 3000-square-foot Coca-Cola Fifth Avenue store from 1991-2000. Coca-Cola had leased 61,000 square feet of the basement through third floor to the Disney Store for nearly 15 years. Disney Store vacated the coveted retail space at the corner of Fifth and 55th Street earlier this year. Disney Store will move to a 25,000-square-foot store at 1540 Broadway in Times Square this fall. The 711 Fifth Avenue building became Coca-Cola's New York Headquarters when Coca-Cola purchased Columbia Pictures in 1982. The 320,00-sq-ft building was erected in 1927.
